No Vehicle Reservations Required (2026)

In a major update for 2026, Yosemite has removed the timed entry reservation system. Guests can now drive into the park spontaneously without pre-booking a peak-hour pass — easier than it has been in years. Basecamp at Outdoorsy Yosemite and head into the park on your own schedule. Campsites and wilderness permits still need to be reserved in advance, and the park may use targeted traffic management on its busiest days, so check NPS for current conditions.
