Boating & Paddling
Bring your own boat, kayak, or paddleboard — or rent one at the marina, an 8-minute walk from camp. The water warms up nicely in summer (rare for a mountain lake), so jump in for a swim. Guest discounts available — ask at check-in.
Bass Lake Fishing
The fish are biting. Cast for the bass that gave the lake its name, or hook catfish, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon. Pick up a fishing license at the local market on your way out.
Hiking & Trails
A trail from the property leads to a hidden cove on Bass Lake — a swimming spot most visitors never find. Beyond it, the Bass Lake area is a hiker's paradise: most trails are dog-friendly, and many reward you with waterfalls and wide lake views.
Golfing
Don't forget the clubs. Two 9-hole courses — River Creek and Yosemite Lakes Park — are a short drive from camp.
Mountain Biking
From easy cruisers to expert descents, the nearby trail network keeps riders moving. Ride an e-bike? There are trails for that, too.
Recreation at Camp
Basketball court, two off-leash dog parks, seasonal pool, community fire pits, and a full clubhouse game room. You don't always have to leave camp to have a great day.

~18 mi / ~30 min to the South East Entrance (Wawona Rd). From the gate: Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (minutes), Yosemite Valley floor (additional ~60 min winding road). Glacier Point and Badger Pass accessible via Wawona Road. Plan for a full day when heading to the Valley.

No Vehicle Reservations Required
In a major update, Yosemite has removed the timed entry reservation system for 2026. Guests can now drive into the park spontaneously without pre-booking a peak-hour pass. Entry requirements can change season to season, so confirm at nps.gov/yose before you travel.
Tioga Road & Glacier Point: Seasonal High-Country Access
These iconic high-country roads typically open in late spring and close with the first snowfall, granting seasonal access to Tuolumne Meadows and the park's most famous overlooks. Confirm current road status at nps.gov/yose before you go.
